Mike Basone is an award-winning filmmaker, media executive, and founder of VICTORYROAD Studios and VICTORYROAD+, a next-generation sports media company building premium sports IP with athletes, creators, and direct fan communities.
Across his career, Basone has developed, produced, directed, sold, and showrun projects with Steph Curry, Dwyane Wade, four-time World’s Strongest Man Brian Shaw, Evander Holyfield, Carmelo Anthony, and more. His work has been distributed by Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Warner Bros. Discovery, ESPN, HBO, FOX Sports, A&E, NBC Sports, Roku, and Olympic Channel.
Before founding VictoryRoad, Basone served as SVP and Head of Unscripted at Whistle Studios and NEO Studios, leading sports-focused content across development, packaging, production, sales, and distribution.
Select credits include Benedict Men, executive produced with Steph Curry; Legacy: In the Shadow of Greatness, featuring Dwyane Wade, Evander Holyfield, and Randall Cunningham; and Strongman: The Brian Shaw Story, a four-part documentary series on four-time World’s Strongest Man Brian Shaw, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video after launching on VICTORYROAD+.
Basone is also the co-creator, executive producer, and voice of host Pete Seratti in Rabid Fans, the animated sports comedy series executive produced with Carmelo Anthony. In 2026, Rabid Fans won both the Webby Award and People’s Voice Award for Best Creator in Sports.
